First Timers 

Registratiion for our boys and girls spring season opens around Thanksgiving and closes in mid-January.  Registration is all done on-line.  Youth players will need to register with The Coppell Lacrosse Association and with NTYLA.  All youth players need to have a current membership number with US Lacrosse.  Registration expense varies by age, and is between $150 -$225.  The younger programs are less expensive.

Players must have all of their own equipment prior to any practice or coaches' look sessions.  Girls need a mouthguard, lacrosse stick and protective eye wear.  Boys need a helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, protictive cup, mouthguard and a lacrosse stick.  A starter set of equipment for boys is available for about $150 (click on the Game On Lacrosse link on our web site).  Used equipment is fine as long as it is in working order (click on our Used Equipment link to see what's available).

Program directors will contact all registered players by the end of January with team information and practice schedules.  Most teams will practice once or twice  a week during pre-season, usually two hours per practice at Andy Brown Central field, or Wagon Wheel West field.  Once games begin, one weekly practice is the norm.

Games usually take place in March and April, culminating in tournament play for some programs in early May.  Games are scheduled on weeknights and weekends and can be both at home or away.  The most distant opponent's fields are about a 20 minute drive.  Car pooling and ride sharing is fine.
